Our History
Founded in 1913, Baxenden Golf Club is set on a rolling hillside on the Hyndburn- Rossendale boundary, Boasting a 9-hole course to be proud of.
About Baxenden Golf Club
The club was originally founded by a group of local businessmen Meeting at the Hargreaves Arms Public House, Accrington. The first Annual General Meeting, for members and intending members, was held on 3rd February 1913 in the Don Café Blackburn Road Accrington.
The first clubhouse was Gallow Hall Farm, a quarter of a mile from its current location. The current clubhouse was purchased for £1,320 in 1926 and the ‘new’ course opened in 1928.
